My Tours in Georgia: How it Works
Each of my tours is a uniquely planned experience, so I don’t have a preset list of trips and costs – although you can check out some sample itineraries for an idea of what a day might look like. Rather than take everyone to the same place, I prefer to give everyone their own specific taste of the fascinating diversity Georgia has to offer. Every trip with me starts with a discussion about your interests. Based on what I learn about you, or working with specific suggestions or requests of yours, we will plan out a trip which will hopefully be as exciting and rewarding for you as possible. You can be as much or as little involved as you like – I’m happy to plan everything based on general outlines, or we can make a detailed itinerary based on your specific desires. I can offer both day trips and multi-day adventures. I am based in Tbilisi, but I can come to any town or village across the country and show you around from there.
If you prefer to travel on your own, have your own means of transportation, or otherwise don’t need a driver, guide, or translator, I also offer a simple trip planning service, helping you work out your own itineraries across Georgia. We can make a video call at the cost of $30 per hour, where I will help you identify the destinations and activities most interesting for you and provide you with local contacts as needed; I will also include a follow-up email with a summary of what we discussed. I can also make detailed arrangements for your entire trip, including arranging accommodations and being on the line as a translator for the duration of your travel, starting from $100. Feel free to get in touch if this sounds like something that could be interesting to you.
Otherwise, I’m happy to be your personal guide in Georgia! Your tour with me is a completely personalized experience, and everybody’s situation is different, so I prefer to discuss the specific details of financial arrangements in person. Since my Jimny is only suitable for small groups of 1-3 people, trips with bigger groups will cost a bit more, as I will need to secure another vehicle. However, my pricing is per trip, not per person, so the cost should balance out for you. If we plan a trip where I’ll need to stay overnight, I will in general charge a small extra fee to cover my expenses.
As a guideline, this is what a day with me generally costs (USD or at current exchange rate to Georgian lari):
Group size and car |
Full day (overnight outside Tbilisi) |
Full day (daytrip from Tbilisi) |
Half day |
1–3 people (Jimny) |
$180 |

Of course, many different factors could affect this total, depending on the kind of trip we plan. Various activities could incur additional costs (for example, if we would visit the family of some friends for dinner, this cost would be separately calculated). Whatever it might be, though, all costs will be arranged transparently and without any surprises – I’ll work out everything beforehand and let you know the plan for final approval. Additionally, certain circumstances could allow me to offer a discount – if the prices are a little out of reach for you, let me know and we might be able to arrange something. In general, everything will depend on your personal wishes for the kind of tours in Georgia you wish to have; I’ll work with you to give you the best value for the amount you are able to spend on your custom trip.
